British Museum. H. 0.77m. Four-sided shape, with some effort at rounding-off
the figure. Broad shoulders, narrow waist; this kouros has almost
normal proportions. His arms are missing. Wide chest, big thighs and
buttocks, small genitals. His hair hangs in a solid mass down his
back, Egyptian style. He has a wide nose, archaic smile, wide-apart
almond-shaped eyes under raised brows. |
