Performing Colonial Modernity
Postgraduate & Early-Career Researchers' Conference
Tuesday 18 & Wednesday 19 May 2010

Introduction

(Sponsored by the Roberts Fund for Researcher-Led Initiatives)

This two-day conference seeks to develop a trans-disciplinary research network for postgraduates and early-career researchers at the University with interests in the histories and practices of European colonialism. The organisers are casting a wide net. We aim to bring together specialists working within distinct subject- or area-specialisms who are researching the diverse impacts of European colonialism in different global and local contexts. The conference will be held in the William Robertson Building (50 George Square) on 18 and 19 May 2010. Places are limited, so if you are interested in presenting, please submit your proposal as soon as possible. Further information is available - Call for papers (deadline 18th December 2009).
