Requesting
Feedback on your Dissertation
Dissertation marks are not finalised until the
meeting of the History/Classics/Archaeology Examination
Board in June of each year. After that meeting,
you can ask to see the feedback comments made
by markers on your Dissertation, and can make
an appointment to discuss these comments with
your Supervisor. (If your Supervisor is no longer
in Edinburgh, the Dissertation Coordinator should
be able to suggest another member of staff you
can talk to instead.) Requests to view markers'
comments should be made to Undergraduate Reception
in the first instance, or by emailing your Dissertation
Secretary.
The
dissertation database is now live; click
here to access old dissertations. Examples of
past dissertations can also be viewed in the Undergraduate
Reception (G08); ask at the desk for the Classics
samples.
3rd
year students:
Thank you
for submitting your proposals; you will be notified
at your home address in the summer (July) about
your supervisor(s). Please use the summer to get
started on your research; see the outline timetable
below.
